QLD:Worst may be over for Cairns
Cairns appears to have been spared the worst of Cyclone Yasi's fury .. but thousands
of residents have spent a scary night holed up in evacuation centres without power.
Police who conducted minimal patrols during the tempest say damage appears to be minimal.
Power was knocked out to parts of the far north Queensland city as the category five
cyclone crossed …
